Hello there

Could the market be headed down?

We have received calls recently from individuals concerned about the markets and whether their portfolios are positioned well to handle the current market uncertainty and recent volatility.

Year-to-date, the DOW is down -5.72% and the media has shared recent hype on different aspects that may be impacting the market volatility, including: the slide in the price of oil, China’s slowing growth, fear of a global recession, whether or not the Fed will increase interest rates, and the U.S. election. These are all valid concerns but I would ask the more important question, which is, how will these factors impact your retirement and financial security?

When you look at your financial statements, are you getting the result that you want or expect? If not, maybe your risk exposure is not aligned with your risk comfort level. Are you aware of how much money you can potentially lose in your portfolio? Wouldn’t you like to know the answer to this question before a serious market correction?
